Customer catalogue

Merchants can now manage and store customer information in the OnlinePay dashboard. The customer catalogue allows you to create and manage customer profiles, which can be used to streamline the payment process for returning customers.

You can select a customer from your customer catalogue when creating a Pay by Link payment.

Easily locate the User ID

Merchants can now easily locate their User ID in the OnlinePay dashboard on their My Account page under General information. The User ID is a unique identifier for your OnlinePay account and is used to authenticate your requests to the OnlinePay API.

Surcharge on reports

Merchants can now view surcharge amounts on the OnlinePay full dashboard reports, or as an optional field to display on custom reports. This allows you to see the surcharge amount applied to each transaction, providing greater transparency and helping you to reconcile your accounts more easily.

Surcharge is not shown on basic reports.

Wallet filters on report scheduler

Merchants can now filter by wallet type when scheduling reports in the OnlinePay dashboard. This allows you to generate reports that are specific to a particular wallet type (Apple Pay or Google Pay), making it easier to track and analyse transactions across different payment methods.

What's new

New sign-in experience

  • New merchants are now invited to activate their account from the OnlinePay login screen, where they will be able to set up their account using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). You will need to activate your account by requesting a One-Time Passcode (OTP), which will be sent to your registered email address.

Changes to Surcharging

  • Surcharging is now blocked for Pre-Authentication (Pre-Auth) transactions.

Orders/Transactions dashboard

  • The search bar on the Commerce > Orders/Transactions dashboard page no longer searches dynamically. To search for orders or transactions, provide a search value or filter options, then click Apply.
  • Refunds can now be performed from both Orders and Transactions views from the Payment Actions tab in the information panel.

Improvements to the UI and mobile experience

  • There have been a number of improvements to the user experience when viewing the OnlinePay dashboard web application, or when viewing on mobile devices.

Pay By link

  • When creating a new payment link, the organisation drop-down option will only appear when there is more than one OnlinePay Merchant ID associated with the Payment Provider Contract.

  • Merchants must now choose their site that is enabled for OnlinePay when creating a Pay By Link. Pre-defined card and wallet types will then auto-populate.
  • SCA compliance type is no longer applicable for Apple Pay transactions. Google Pay will continue to enforce 3DS for wallet transactions where DPAN is not returned.

Surcharging

  • A global surcharge cap has been introduced for all card types.
  • Card holders will see all applicable surcharges in Google Pay and Apple Pay before the payment is processed.

Security enhancements

  • Merchants will be restricted from opening the OnlinePay dashboard in multiple tabs.
  • Session timeout has been updated so that merchants will no longer be logged out of the dashboard while active.

Refunds

Merchants are now able to provide a Refund Reason, which will be displayed on the transaction details tab in the dashboard.
